ifyoucouldforcastrangesandtrendsbeforethey were happening you would be the trade genie. looking back at charts and saying, "well if you bought and sold then you would have made money" is ridiculous. what happens if the market makes a new low, then comes back and makes a new high, then again a new low. then not a new high but a small sideways range? you cant forecast that. looking back a a range and saying where the top and bottoms are does not mean trading as if they r always there is profitable
