Long Term Care Costs In Rhode Island Surpasses National Average
Long term care costs in Rhode Island have surpassed the national average according to Genworth's 2011 Cost of Care Survey. The median yearly national cost of a long-term care in an assisted living facility is $39,135; this has grown 6.0% every year in the last six years. In Rhode Island, the yearly cost of assisted living care is $50,550 and it has increased 4.5% per year in that same period. The median rate per hour in receiving long-term home care is $23.25 per hour in this state for home nursing services and $19 an hour for the national rate. This cost has grown 2.5% per year in the last six years and only 1.4%for the national.
