@tw19771 I just have to disagree with you on that because, it is not on every occasion that businesses dont hire, but yes it does happen. But i see where republicans come from giving tax cuts and letting the rich invest, but then there is a very reasonable argument that they pocket the money, but paying taxes just lets the government put more into programs and the presidents vacations… BTW, Let me just add I admire your rationality in this debate
I always thought that we have our own way of looking at things, but do you ever notice, it seems that no matter what, I think I made many reasonable points as did you, we always seemed to get screwed over by either party. I am just more in accord with republicans, I refer to myself as Libertarian because of my belief in individual liberty, but I would refer to myself as democrat/republican/liberal/conservative, I have always noticed that everyone makes a good point, but we get scrwd either way
The economy is not going to change nova unless the tea party people stop. @TNovaccaine Okay Nova I will ask you this, why do you think businesses especially the big fish, refuse to hire, and instead abuse the system by exploiting loopholes in the tax system like GE paying 0%? 2k10 numbers from GE 14.2B and they claimed 5.2B profit inide US shores, and claimed a US TAX BENEFIT of 3.2B. Yet Unemployment in this country still hovers just under 10%. I'll ask this to get you thinking, Why aren't companies like this hiring? GE is not the only example, so why?

When you raise tax on CB, all it does is disable them from hiring. It shows that once the rich actually have the ability to invest, they do. Does the government create jobs? NO! If taxing the rich actually makes the economy successful, well where is all of the success? Where is the great economy that we were promised? Where are the four million jobs that we were supposed to have that we lost on account of OBAMAS stimulus package? Has our unemployment rate changed?

Taxes do help. With low/no taxes you got companies doing what they are doing now abusing the system while they have no reason to hire, these people don't hire out of compassion or good moods, they hire when they have to..
@TNovaccaine welfare is state ran these days, has been since 1996, so your Ffed taxes don't go into it, state taxes do. Obama isn't outright defunding SS and Medicare, but he certainly isn't helping its cause and he hasn't proposed what the republicans have to defund it

Of course the ppl i hope you are referring too wouldn't be scamming the program if it had proper oversight, repub philosophy for you at its best. These programs and medicare/Medicaid need shored up protected. And the ppl on them, many are unable to work. not by choice, unable.
